Hours: Monday-Friday 6am-2:30pm with some overtime required

Sort and process non-ferrous materials
Identify different types of non-ferrous materials
Separate non-ferrous materials from other materials
Operate machinery and equipment to process materials
Ensure safety procedures are followed at all times
Maintain a clean and organized work area
Assist with other tasks as needed

Competencies

Experience working in a salvage yard with non-ferrous materials
Knowledge of different types of non-ferrous materials
Ability to operate machinery and equipment
Strong attention to detail
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
Good communication skills
Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Work Environment

Must be able to work in all weather conditions

Physical demands

Must be able to stoop, kneel, crouch, reach, and stand
Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds

Required education and experience

High School Diploma or equivalent preferred, not required.

Preferred education and experience

Knowledgeable with different metals
Experience in driving forklift
