Wage: $16- $18.00 /hr. pay depends on experience
Hours: Monday-Friday Rotating 7am-4:30pm, 8:30am-5:30pm

Job Description
The Scale Operator/Cashier will perform routine clerical duties, cashier duties, and run the scale in the scrap yard to support the organization.
Essential functions
- Able to multi-task in a fast-paced environment
- Maintain compliance with all company policies and procedures
- Receive customers or visitors via walk in or scale
- Provide general information to staff, clients, or the public.
- Copy, file, and update paper and electronic documents
- Prepare and process office documents
- Collect information and perform data entry
- Opening and Closing Rochester Office
- Run the scale in an organized manner
Competencies
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including ability to effectively communicate with internal and external customers
- Excellent computer proficiency (MS Office – Word, Excel and Outlook)
- Must be able to work under pressure and meet deadlines, while maintaining a positive attitude and providing exemplary customer service
- Ability to work independently and to carry out assignments to completion within parameters of instructions given, prescribed routines, and standard accepted practices
- Possess and demonstrate good customer service skills
- Time management, attention to detail, and strong organization skills

Physical demands
- Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
Required education and experience
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
Preferred education and experience
- Clerical experience preferred.
- Demonstrates the ability to accurately enter data and use company software.
